A Grade 5 Decimal Operations item.

Free topic · Grade 5 · Decimal Operations

What is 4.8 − 1.35?

  • Correct answer3.45
  • 3.55
  • 6.15
  • 3.4

Why this is correct. Write 4.8 as 4.80 so the hundredths line up. 80 hundredths minus 35 hundredths is 45 hundredths, and 4 ones minus 1 one is 3. The difference is 3.45.

After the round, results lead to Review Questions so this kind of explanation stays with the item. Setup also offers learn mode when you want no timer.
