What you practice
These are the Grade 4 Multi-Digit Multiplication skills this quiz is built around.
- Multiply a two-digit number by a one-digit number using place value.
- Record partial products, such as 40 × 7 and 6 × 7 for 46 × 7.
- Multiply two two-digit numbers by breaking apart tens and ones.
A useful tip
Multiply the ones and the tens separately, then add. For 23 × 4, 20 × 4 is 80 and 3 × 4 is 12, so 80 + 12 = 92. Adding 23 + 4 instead drops the groups.
